You are cordially invited to see Containers of Spirit: Poems, Pottery, and Place – a collaborative art show by Beth Wheeler and Janet Lever-Wood. This special collaborative art show offers original art by Janet Lever-Wood and local calligrapher Beth Wheeler, and is on display at Olio Restaurant in Mancos, Colorado.
Sutra jars come from 12th century Japan, and are intended as containers of the sacred. The vessels are each accompanied by a scroll with a verse or a poem; some of them are displayed alongside the containers, and some are rolled up and and tucked away inside the vessel – waiting for you to discover.
This unique show will be on display until December 3rd, 2016. All pieces are for sale, making this a great opportunity to find that special, one-of-a-kind holiday gift for your loved one. Come see the work of Lara Branca as well.
